In a strategic partnership with the Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD), Lumina is committed to bridging disparities in cancer research and enhancing workforce diversity through effective communication and program support. Our collaboration focuses on disseminating critical research findings and training opportunities to a broad audience, emphasizing support for underrepresented communities.

Lumina provides a variety of communication, program support, and conference services to help make sure CRCHD messages reach all of its audiences. Our on-site program support team works closely with National Cancer Institute (NCI) staff, offering administrative, data analysis, and program evaluation support. We develop detailed logic models to align research and training program outcomes with their goals and establish clear metrics for evaluation and improvement. This involves identifying data sources, creating new evaluation tools, and conducting thorough analyses to inform program adjustments, portfolio development, and budget decisions.

Communication support streamlines messaging to effectively reach and engage diverse audiences. We use digital marketing and social media to highlight CRCHD’s work and generate meaningful discussion, focusing on inclusivity and impact. Support includes crafting social media strategies and content, web content such as blogs and multimedia, print materials for in-person events, and detailed analytics reports to measure performance and set goals.

Lumina’s meetings team supports CRCHD in convening program participants and grantees to share their research and advance their careers, ensuring the success of these vital programs. From careful pre-meeting planning to seamless day-of execution, our team ensures every aspect of these in-person and virtual events—registration, venue selection, virtual engagement, speaker coordination, and more—is flawlessly managed.
