Charting New Paths in Alzheimer’s Research

Lumina supports the National Institute on Aging (NIA) Division of Neuroscience genetics portfolio, including the flagship Alzheimer’s Disease Sequencing Project (ADSP) that aims to identify gene alleles contributing to increased risk for or protection against AD, provide insight as to why individuals with known risk factor genes do not develop AD, and identify potential avenues for therapeutic approaches and prevention of the disease.

The Lumina science writing team has prepared summaries of more than 1,000 ADSP Working Group meetings and several program review meetings. Lumina writers also develop web content for ADSP consortia, including summaries of cutting-edge research. Our extensive understanding of the research and programmatic goals allows us to accurately summarize scientific information and concisely capture next steps and action items.

Lumina also provides comprehensive project coordination and logistical support for ADSP Working Groups and for virtual, hybrid, and in-person consortium meetings. Conference services include travel coordination, registration, speaker/presenter coordination, collection and development of meeting materials, virtual/hybrid hosting, and on-site support.
